A child may have low weight for age either because he has grown at reduced rate over a long period of time. Or has recently suffered form an episode of acute malnutrition. It does not distinguish between acute and chronic protein energy malnutrition. The children will be classified as both malnourished or well nourished using pie-charts and bar graphs. ----------------------- Maternal and under 5years child death Household food insecurity Reproduction process Malnutrition Diseases Knowledge, technology, organizational structures, income and its control Inadequate maternal &child health case Manifestation Limited access to basic services Immediate causes NATIONAL RESOURCE BASE Political and ideological superstructure.
