THE ARISTOCRATIC FEUDAL ETHOS 1.0 INTRODUCTION The Medieval period refers to the time of European period from about 500AD to 1500AD. This is a period considered by many to be a time of zealous Christianity, a period of emergence of various types of art and cultural advancements in humanity. The advancements in medicine, law, music and weapons in this period were slowly being improved in this era though it was still considered a period of darkness because it did not advance in the age of new reasoning and creativity. The most profound elements that still kept the Medieval period under the Dark Age is the constant unhygienic conditions which caused diseases, warfare which was so common and Christianity. The Europeans for example were known for there lack of personal hygiene and therefore ailing from diseases caused due to lack of hygiene were so common amongst them during this period.
