Preview of the essay: ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM FOR ANY TRAVEL AGENCY (case study at Msafiri travel agency)

In this paper, I present a functional specification for Msafiri Travel Agency’s online reservation system. Fundamentally, this project is an attempt to put Msafiri travel agency booking operations online and allow its wide range of potential customers browse its catalog and make reservations through its website from wherever they are globally. The system will allow tourists to view details, and facilities offered by various hotels in Kenya by browsing through a catalog of the various hotels selling their rooms through Msafiri Travel Agency, sort and filter them by location and be able to make a reservation or an enquiry. The system will be developed in a time span of about seventeen weeks ...

... involved in the system development process review these specifications so as to understand what is going to be developed. During this process, we shall answer any questions concerning the specifications outlined above as well as incorporate new specifications that may be found necessary for the system upon consultation with all the concerned parties. It is important to note that these specifications are not all inclusive as new system requirements do, and may, arise during the system development process. Nevertheless, the system’s database has been designed to be flexible enough to allow any new changes during the implementation process.
