Tympanostomy tube insertion is recommended for persisting OME and in high-risk patients for complications. However the role of doing adenoidectomy routinely in the same setting is controversial. Studies describing clinical profile, role of investigative tools in diagnosing OME and outcome following surgery from developing countries are rare. Puretone air conduction threshold mean were calculated in pre operative and post operative audiogram considering air conduction threshold at 0.5, 1, and 2 HZ. pre and post operative air conduction threshold mean were compared in both groupA and group B. Then inter group comparison was done. . The mean age at presentation: 8.06 (±2.25)yrs; 53% of them were males and 47% were females. Bilateral hearing impairment was seen in 51(85%) and 46 cases had hearing impairment for past 6-12 month; 43(73%) cases has symptoms suggestion of II&III adenoid hypertrophy Abnormal finding were noted in 90% 92% and 90%following percentage of ear examination on pneumatic otoscopy, tympanometry, and acoustic reflexometry. Abnomality of tympanic membrane mobility was documented in atleast one ear in all 60 cases
