PERCEPTIONS OF AB ENGLISH STUDENTS IN THE CAMPUS NEWSPAPER Rationale Student Publication has become a significant vehicle for change. Lapuz (2007), underscored this role to a group of school journalist, teacher- advisers, MECS officials and city officials by saying: Campus publication can help the government in three ways; (1) as a medium of information regarding projects, programs, activities and reforms of particular interests to college students; (2) as a medium of active support for specific programs of government, and (3) as an embodiment of New Republic (Melchor, 1995). To give meaning to the identified roles of campus papers, the participating advisers of student publication to the National Seminar- Workshop for Advisers of school publication in Baguio City, as cited by Melchor(1995), ......
