Background of the Study Over the past twenty-five years, motivation has become one of the most widely discussed subjects in management literature. The fact that an organization has been properly staffed and the workers have been trained to the point where they are capable of doing a good job, the work has really just begun. Moreover, the fact that they can do the job well does not necessarily mean they will. There is always the possibility that the quality of their work may fall short of targeted objectives. Basically, it is recognized that virtually all workers are capable of doing a better job for that matter. When properly motivated, they will do a better job.
