Wetlands act as segment filters thereby reducing the silt load in runoff or in streams waters. In line with the objectives, the study will target the whole community from which representatives samples will be taken for the study.
SAMPLE SIZE AND SAMPLING TECHNIQUES.
studied under homesteads with a population of over 5000 people surrounding the wetland the population will be reduce the size to approximately 400 people and a sample of 40 respondents will be taken.

DATA COLLECTION METHODS
Data collection will be from both primary and secondary sources. Primary data will be collected through questionnaires, interviews and observations. Secondary data will be collected by reviewing publications, journals, magazines and the World Wide Web.
