DISCUSS THE CONTRIBUTION OF RELIGION IN SOCIAL, AESTHETIC, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL ASPECTS OF AFRICAN SOCIETY. Religion as by E.B.I down, is the means by which man communicates to god and spirits. It resulted from the relationship which god established from the beginning of human life between himself and man. To Paul Tillich amongst other scholars, religion is the ultimate concern about the ground and meaning of our being as it expresses the values of society, deals with threats to the central values of society or social and individual existence to J.S.Mbati in his book: African religions and philosophy, he argues that “Africans are notoriously religions and each people have their own religious system ...... offensive unless twisted to fit ones own needs and thus makes the society dysfunctional, the problem is corruption of religion.
