Preview of the essay: SIEBEL SOFTWARE INDUSTRY SYSTEMS

In the year 2001, Siebel Systems, a software giant, was on a success path. This company was making software that was used by corporations to manage sales and customer service departments. Its pioneer, Thomas Siebel, was optimistic that the business could defy the recession that was looming at that time in the software industry. He was of the view that the company will weather the recession storm and emerge unscathed while the competitors will be lucky to emerge from it intact. But he was proved wrong after sometime when his company started to regress, losing its share of the market ...

... step in the right direction since it was possible the problem could have been with the managers. But Thomas himself should also change his management style. He should stop been so optimistic to the extent of ignoring real threats like competition and decreased customer satisfaction.

This industry is really well-known for its products, but there are great competitors out there.

The work is organized.
