The Central Africa region has been experiencing an extraordinary flooding condition. Since November 2006, floods have hit a majority of Central African countries, leaving numerous people homeless. The condition in the Democratic Republic of Congo was the worst of all the countries that were affected. Democratic Republic of Congo covers an area of 340,000 square kilometers. Geographically; the territory bears some spectacular features as half portion lies above the equator and half part lies below the equator.
