/A critical exhibition review on fashion photography
There was once a time when fashion photography was primarily about aiming to achieve and produce a simple, definite, objective, clean and crinkle-free photograph of a model and a garment. However, now we understand that it involves much more than that. The art of fashion photography has developed notions of visual communication that are now recognised and highly appreciated more than ever. Fashion photography evokes an atmosphere, engages and directs the audience through a visual interpretation of a story that is expressed through the concoctions of the photograph, and above all, it promotes a look, markets a dream and sells an identity.
