Globalisation is the process of increased integration between different countries and economies leading to the increased impact of international influences on all aspects of life and economic activity[1]. The term has been increasingly used since the 1980s and has come about due to two major developments. Firstly, technological changes have enabled information and goods to travel much faster than before, making it easier to transport goods and services and communicate with people. Secondly, the end of the Cold War and the spread of a new political philosophy of liberalisation have led to the removal of trade barriers. Whilst globalisation has affected many countries around the globe, it has especially affected the European country of ...





... results and impacts of a movement into an open market economy have been higher growth, living standards and further sustainable employment. Unfortunately, it has also led Poland to become a more unequal society. Overall, the country is now able to communicate with other regional and global successful economies, which has and will persuade Poland to become a further success. Poland’s experience highlights the difficulties in managing the globalisation process and the effects it has had on governments, corporations and individuals.
