Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited (KPLC) is a limited liability company, which was incorporated in 1922 as the East African Power & Lighting Company (EAP&L). The company changed to its present name (Kenya Power & lighting Company Limited) in 1983. KPLC is a limited liability company which transmits, distributes and retails electricity throughout Kenya. The majority shareholder in KPLC is the government of Kenya and its institution, while the remainder is owned by private shareholders.

CONCLUSION
The Internship program has been really helpful and educative in my area of study as a marketer. My experience at KPLC is one that I will perpetually treasure. The induction was done very professionally. This made it easier for me to settle down to the work processes. My supervisor and the rest of the marketing colleagues were friendly and truly helpful from the time I joined, they taught me in practical terms and guided me, I felt useful in the department because I was included in all functions and we did analysis together, making me understand all aspects of branding, advertising and procuring of merchandise.
I know for a fact that having worked there will have a positive outcome in my professional life. I am grateful to KPLC for allowing me to join them for my internship and become part of them.
