... and yet growing sanitation crisis in urban areas. Where there may be cases of religious or cultural disaster and reservations regarding ecological sanitation, pubic education can help a lot in allaying these unfounded fears. One approach in dealing with such reservations is to show examples of places where ecological sanitation has been embraced and adopted with great success. That way, people will be convinced that this system of handling and managing human excrement is quite a viable option with and has many advantages to individuals adopting it, the society and the environment in general. Urban areas in Africa need this system so as to deal with the growing deterioration in sanitation. Over and above promotion of urban human health, there are a myriad of other benefits derived from this system and Africa stands to benefit immensely from adoption of this system.
