Sun Microsystems managed to have 10% sales growth and over the consecutive several years the net revenue increased to $9.7 billion, or 13% compared to $8.6 billion of fiscal year 1997.Therefore Sun indicates being one of the companies with the strongest balance sheets in the industry, whereby it has $822 million in cash in bank. In 2004 fiscal year the sun generated a little more than $13 billion in revenues from it sales with a net loss of $864 million but a healthy revenue growth rate. During the first half of it fiscal 2005 sun`s revenue of $6.75 billion indicated year growth and the company generated a profit of $70 million.
